Syracuse, N.Y. — The building process of the Syracuse East flag football team is an impressive one to watch. The squad continued working toward what looks like a powerhouse season on Monday with yet another big win, this time 58-6 over OnTECH. Syracuse East improved to 5-0 on the season, outscoring foes by a combined 136-39. The news gets worse for upcoming foes: coach Jeff Petties thinks the team is just hinting at its potential.

Syracuse, N.Y. — Solvay baseball coach Joe Kesler implored his team to have a short memory late Monday afternoon. Westhill had just scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game. Kesler sent his potentially discouraged players up to bat in the bottom of the frame with a simple message. “I just told them, ‘Let’s walk it off,’” Kesler said. Solvay wasted little time in doing just that.

Syracuse, N.Y. — The 2024-25 All-CNY boys swimming and diving all-stars and the finalists for swimmer of the year have been revealed. Now, it’s your turn to tell us who deserves player of the year honors. There are four girls indoor track athlete of the year finalists: Anna Eells of Cicero-North Syracuse, Anoveah Housley of PSLA @ Fowler, Grace Murray of C-NS and Izzie Sullivan of Fayetteville-Manlius. This fan vote is just for fun, and will not be used to determine the official player of the year.
