    It's a gorgeous and comfortable start to the day, but it's about to get really hot. A strong ridge of high pressure is moving into the region and will help to amplify our temperatures for the next four days!Temperatures will soar into the 90s today under mostly sunny skies. We'll see 70s and 80s in the mountains. It gets even hotter on Friday, with highs near 100 degrees by 3 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. Summer officially starts tomorrow and our first weekend of the season will sure feel like it.

    DENVER — Skies have cleared and we are in for a beautiful mid-June day! You'll see lots of sunshine for the morning commute, with temperatures in the 50s and 60s early on. Wednesday will be a perfect mid-June day. We'll see lots of sunshine and highs and low to mid 80s along the Front Range and northeastern plains. The mountains will get some more sunshine and 70s.

    Strong storms hit northeastern Colorado overnight and those cells are pushing south and east across the plains Tuesday morning. The biggest threat with these cells is large hail, pockets of heavy rain and lightning. These storms will fizzle out, but we'll see another round of storms Tuesday afternoon and early evening. We could see hail up to 2 inches in diameter, wind gusts near 80mph and more lightning.

    It's going to be another gorgeous start to the day. We'll see lots of sunshine early on, with temperatures in the 50s and 60s for the morning commute. Temperatures will quickly climb into the mid-80s by lunch and upper 80s by early afternoon. A few more storms and showers will develop today and could turn severe, especially east of I-25. The biggest threat with today's storms will be gusty winds and some larger hail. It'll be a mostly sunny, dry and hot start to Father's Day weekend.

    It's another beautiful and comfortable start to our Thursday! We'll see a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures in the 60s for the morning commute. Temperatures will quickly climb into the mid 80 by lunch, with upper 80s by early afternoon. Another round of afternoon storms will rumble across the Denver metro area. These storms could produce some gusty winds, lightning and hail. Temperatures will quickly cool off into the upper 70s to low 80s with these passing storms.
