    LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Questions remain as the Laredo Police continue to investigate the accident that resulted in the death of a seven-year-old child on Wednesday afternoon, May 21.     LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A young boy died on his seventh birthday after a rollover crash in Central Laredo, and police are still looking into what caused the accident. Laredo police said a Chevy Tahoe was driving south on U.S. 83 near Market Street around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 22. The driver, a 27-year-old woman, reportedly lost control of the SUV and crashed into a cement wall. The impact caused the vehicle to roll over several times.

    LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A bill aimed at creating a Homeland Security division within the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is once again at the state capital. Senator Tan Parker from North Texas introduced Senate Bill 36, which would allow employees in that division to enforce laws related to crime prevention, protection and detection. The bill states that this division will consist of Texas Rangers, the Homeland Security division, Texas Troopers and other necessary divisions.
