    TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - They say every dog has its day, and thanks to a local photography studio, dozens of rescue dogs are going to have a very special day. Rebecca Trumbull is a Toledo-based photographer who has donated countless hours to help animals find their forever homes. In honor of National Rescue Dog Day, her studio is hosting a photo shoot this weekend. Local rescues and shelters are able to bring adoptable dogs in for free bio pictures.

    TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness and educate people. And when it comes to mental health and children, experts say there is a concerning trend. More kids are facing mental health challenges. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says anxiety problems, behavior disorders, and depression are the most commonly diagnosed mental disorders in children. And a local child and family therapy program has seen a significant increase in its numbers.

And you don’t have to have any artistic talent to enjoy the space. When you first go down the rabbit hole and step inside Wonderland Studio, there is so much to take in. “Wonderland Studio is a place you can come and be free from everything and just make art. When you’re making art, you’re out of your head and nothing else matters,” Shannon Eis, the owner, said.

    TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Millions of American children are affected by a parent’s cancer diagnosis every year. There’s an organization that’s helped thousands of them through free programs like summer camp. It’s called Camp Kesem. Camp Kesem is run by student volunteers at colleges and universities around the country and there’s a chapter at the University of Toledo. Kesem means magic in Hebrew.
