    LAKE TWP., Ohio (WTVG) - This June will mark the 15th anniversary of the deadly EF-4 tornado that tore through Lake Township. Seven people were killed and dozens were injured in the tornado. The massive twister did significant damage along Main Street in Millbury. Shannon Hughes was several months pregnant the night the twister sliced a path through downtown Millbury. “I remember thinking to myself that can’t possibly be normal because the sirens just kept going on and on.

    FOSTORIA, Ohio (WTVG) - There’s an entertainment oasis in Seneca county that includes all kinds of activities -- everything from axe throwing to shuffleboard. In The Axe first opened its doors in Fostoria in January of 2024. It’s a place packed full of all kinds of entertainment. Brent Hoerig is the owner. “People walk in and are like wow, this is awesome,” Hoerig said. There’s a so-called rage room, shuffleboard and a bar, but the main focus is axe-throwing.

About 3,000 Ohioans are on the list for a life-saving transplant, and every 48 hours, an Ohioan dies while waiting for a transplant. Many of us have incredible power at the end of our lives. The chance to give someone else a second chance. A Toledo woman got that second chance, and she hopes her story inspires others. Time was running out for Andrea MacRitchie.
