ATLANTA — As JOANN Fabric & Craft Stores wind down operations, the company and the Federal Trade Commission are warning shoppers not to fall for scam websites advertising fake going-out-of-business sales. According to the FTC, fake websites are popping up online, claiming to sell deeply discounted JOANN liquidation inventory — but it’s all a scam. “Looking to grab some deals? The real JOANN sales are only happening in person in their physical stores,” the FTC said in a recent release.
