MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- It was obviously a much-needed hiatus for the St. Louis Blues, and for the rest of the NHL for that matter. The last time the Blues were on the ice was Feb. 8 in that crazy 10-round 6-5 shootout win on home ice against the Chicago Blackhawks that left them with a 25-26-5 record, good for 55 points, or eight points behind the Vancouver Canucks for that second wild card in the Western Conference. But also two points behind Utah Hockey Club and five behind the Calgary Flames.

Colton Parayko's fight for Canada in 3-1 loss to United States at 4 Nations Face-Off doesn't go unnoticed among Blues teammatesMARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- When Colton Parayko dropped the mitts as part of a three-fight spree in the game’s first nine seconds for Canada against the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off, it was stunning to those that know him for the simple fact the St. Louis Blues defenseman doesn’t fight often.

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- Brayden Schenn was surprised to see his name dropped, that it was out there. We profiled Matvei Korotky back in October when the St. Louis Blues prospect was off and running fast and furious in Russia. Korotky, a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, was off to a sizzling start for SKA-1946 St. Petersburg of Russia's Molodyozhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga (MHL) with 31 points (17 goals, 14 assists) and a plus-21 in 27 games. The forward (6-foot-2, 198 pounds) was tearing up the junior circuit.

Looks like it will be: #mnwild with 93 points, two games left #stlblues 93 points with two games left #flames 90 points with three games left This is some kind of drama. Blues better take care of their own business because Flames are taking care of theirs.
