A nurse was stabbed by a patient reportedly irate over waiting times in the A&E department of Royal Oldham Hospital. The attack occurred on Saturday night at 11.30pm, leaving the female staff member critically injured with potentially "life changing" injuries. A 37 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. According to MailOnline, the incident was allegedly triggered by the man's frustration over the wait time to be seen in the A&E.

A young West Country man has been charged after a teenager "with an infectious spirit" was killed in a horror BMW crash in Dorset. Dorset Police announced a man has been charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving. He will appear at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday, December 20.
