LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky men’s basketball team will host Purdue in an exhibition game inside of Rupp Arena on Oct. 24 as part of its upcoming 2025-26 schedule. A game time and television designation will be announced at a later date. Newly adopted NCAA rules permitting Division I programs to play in the preseason enabled the teams to add this early-season marquee contest to their schedules. The game will not count towards official records or statistics.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Lexington Legends completed a dominant weekend with a 17-3 win over the Charleston Dirty Birds on Sunday, to start their 25th season off 3-0. Lexington’s offense exploded for 20 hits, including four home runs—two each from Brady Whalen and Drew Ellis—to leave little doubt about the outcome, and complete the sweep for Opening Weekend. Colton Eastman led Lexington’s pitching effort, throwing five shutout innings and striking out five.
