    CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A $13 million grant from the TxDOT awarded in October 2023 changed the course of a long-awaited trail project in Flour Bluff. The funding will cover most of the cost to build a hike-and-bike trail connecting Flour Bluff to the Oso Bay Wetlands — a project more than 30 years in the making. Known as the Holly Road Train Trestle to Tourism Trail, the project aims to turn a former train route into a scenic path for pedestrians and cyclists.

TAMU-CC’s Festival de Mariachi en la Isla is celebrating five years of music, heritage, and heart on campus.     CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local non-profit, TARS Awareness Texas, is asking you to join them at their 3rd annual 5K run and 2-mile walk. The event is happening from 6-8 p.m Saturday, April 11. You can register for the event here. TARS, or Thrombocytopenia-Absent Radius Syndrome, is a rare genetic disorder that mainly affects the bones and blood. People with the condition are born without the radius bone in their forearms, which can cause their arms to be shorter than usual.
