    CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Four Akron men were sentenced Monday for the 2022 New Year’s Eve murder of a 35-year-old man, according to the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office. The SCPO said 18-year-old Cameron Jones of Akron was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Demarcus Hartwell. Jones will be eligible for parole after serving 21 years in prison.

    MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - The patient accused of stabbing a caregiver at a medical facility Wednesday afternoon is now facing multiple charges, according to Maple Heights Police Chief Todd Hansen. 24-year-old Jason Halasz faces charges of attempted murder and felonious assault, according to court records. Court records said Halasz has a court-issued $2 million bond. Chief Hansen said officers were called out Signature Healthat 21100 Southgate Park Blvd.

    KENT, Ohio (WOIO) - A 14-year-old Stanton Middle School student was arrested Thursday after a school threat was reported late Wednesday night. According to Kent police, around 10 p.m. Wednesday evening they received a report that an eighth grade student was rumored to have a list of students’ names that he referred to as a “kill list.”Police immediately talked with the suspect and his parents, with the suspect denying that the list existed, or that he had any intentions to harm anyone.

    WADSWORTH, Ohio (WOIO) - A Wadsworth Middle School teacher was arrested Thursday and charged with multiple counts of sexual imposition, according to Wadsworth police. Police said 46-year-old Robert Bodjanac was arrested Thursday afternoon as a result of a nearly month-long investigation. On March 27, police said middle school staff contacted the school resource officer to report inappropriate contact that Bodjanac had with a student.

    TALLMADGE, Ohio (WOIO) - Tallmadge police arrested multiple people Tuesday during an investigation into an illegal massage parlor. According to a release from the department, they led the multi-jurisdictional investigation of the illegal massage parlor, Rainbow Spa, located at 290 West Avenue.
