The move comes as WinCo is under construction on a large distribution center in Ellensburg. WinCo Foods is moving forward with plans for a store in North Seattle, according to the city's Thursday land-use bulletin. The company's application states part of the former Sam's Club building at 13550 Aurora Ave. N. will be replaced with new exterior walls, sidewalks, paving and landscaping. The parking lot will be expanded slightly to 558 stalls, and the work will include 1,000 cubic yards of grading.
