The man accused of attacking a woman inside Beanie Babies billionaire Ty Warner’s Montecito, California estate has criminal ties to Colorado and allegedly threatened a Colorado judge just two days before the May 21 break-in, according to court records. Russell Maxwell Phay, 42, of Nevada, was arrested after allegedly beating a woman and barricading himself inside Warner’s mansion, according to a release from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.

A slithery standoff on a Commerce City driveway left no one rattled, after a police officer calmly wrangled an agitated rattlesnake and relocated it to a nearby open field over the weekend. According to a Facebook post from the Commerce City Police Department, an officer, identified as Officer Rahn, used a catch pole to safely relocate the snake after responding to a call.

A man armed with a knife was taken into custody Monday afternoon following a prolonged standoff with police near Cheesman Park, according to the Denver Police Department. DPD first reported the incident at 4:38 p.m.. on the social media platform X. Officers responded to the scene, located at East 14th Avenue and Vine Street, according to police. DPD said officers and members of the SWAT team apprehended the man after lengthy negotiations.
