    VENICE, Fla. (SNN TV) - A ribbon cutting was held for a tribute to first responders at Heritage Park in Venice Saturday morning. A 40-year-old flag pole from Fire Station 51 was restored and hung as a tribute to the first responders. This was a class project of Leadership Venice Class of 2023 and headed up by one of its members, City Executive Assistant Cordy Crane.

    VENICE, Fla. (SNN TV) -  The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office issued a silver alert for Louisa Mae Heil. SCSO said she's suffering from memory loss and went missing from their jurisdiction. She was last seen around Woodmere Park in Venice at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. She was last seen driving a 2013 white Honda Fit with Florida license plate number KHFX65. Her car was last seen in Lake City, Florida at 6:16 p.m. traveling north on U.S. 41.
