CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - College application season is wrapping up in Virginia. This marks the first year applicants to public universities in the Commonwealth are no longer able to indicate if they have family members who attended that school. “Legacy students are still going to have a shot to get in. It’s not saying they can’t come, they just don’t get that added benefit,” 16th District Virginia State Senator Schuyler VanValkenburg said.

RUCKERSVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - After more than a year of construction, the new Stonewall Harley-Davidson dealership is set to welcome in customers in just a couple weeks. Before it could open, though, the store had a few more pieces of inventory to bring over to its new location. Thursday afternoon, dozens of Harley-Davidson motorcycles made their way from Orange County to Greene County.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Former Virginia Congressman Denver Riggleman is considering a 2025 run to be Virginia’s next Governor or Lieutenant Governor. Riggleman said in an interview Tuesday with the Washington Post he’s forming an exploratory committee to look into running for the two offices. He served the Fifth Congressional District as a Republican, but said he would now run as an independent.
