HELENA — Mini-malfunction junction in Helena has seen some changes over the past year, and another one is coming. The signal lights at the intersection of Last Chance Gulch, Helena Ave. and Neill Ave. went out in mid-July 2024, stop signs were installed at the intersection, and now plans are being drawn up to turn it into a roundabout. “It’s designed to be somewhat of a gateway feature to the downtown,” City of Helena transportation systems director David Knoepke said of the roundabout.

HELENA — A piece of land between Lyndale Ave. and Memorial Dr. in Helena is now a construction site. MTN viewer Chad asked what is going on there. It’s the latest development in a nearly $4 million project that has been about four years in the making. Construction has started on the Bell Hotel, a two-story, 14-room, locally owned and operated hotel. “We are not affiliated with a franchise or a chain hotel system,” Bell Hotel co-founder AshLy Tubbs said.

HELENA — The doors to Frontier Town have been closed to the public for decades, but that could soon change. The site of the once-bustling tourist attraction atop the Continental Divide near Helena has new owners. The Hays family recently bought the Frontier Town property and has a new vision for the replica Old West town. “This is one of those properties where you have to be a little bit crazy, and then also know a little bit about construction,” Kirby Hays said.
