It was a frustrating morning for folks looking to charge their Teslas at a Sunnyvale charging station on Monday. Someone cut the cables to more than half a dozen chargers, making them useless. The incident happened at the Tesla charging station in the Target parking lot on west Mckinley Avenue. Eight Tesla charging stations had been tampered with and crews with Tesla Energy spent hours installing new vehicle connectors. The theft left Uber driver Aliakear Khadri scrambling to charge his car.

A San Jose stroke patient is recovering at Regional Medical Center after receiving treatment that wasn't available at the hospital a week ago. Regional Medical Center's trauma and primary stroke center had been closed for more than six months and just reopened on Tuesday. The first stroke patient was treated hours after the center reopened. "They immediately responded and took her in and performed triage on her," said Charles Williams, whose wife Nancy Ji suffered a mini-stroke.

The union representing Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority workers has postponed a vote, hoping for a better offer from the agency Sunday. The VTA board will host a special closed-session meeting on Sunday morning to discuss union negotiations. Members of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 265, the union representing more than 1,500 frontline workers, were supposed to vote on Saturday on whether to accept VTA's latest offer after more than two weeks on the picket line.
