An unconstitutional law involving agriculture that has been part of Colorado's state statutes for almost four years is now a relic of the past. On Thursday, Gov. Jared Polis signed into law Senate Bill 25-128, which repeals a portion of a 2021 law that allowed anyone, including union organizers, to enter the private property of farmers and ranchers without permission.

Gov. Jared Polis on Friday vetoed House Bill 1291, a bill that would have put more teeth in regulating rideshare companies. Sponsors heavily criticized the veto, saying his claims that he cares about victims fell short and that he didn't engage with the sponsors on the bill until three days before the end of the session. Thursday was bill-signing day for animals in Colorado. Gov. Jared Polis signed measures addressing bison, wild horses, and animals threatened during emergencies, such as wildfires. Meanwhile, the spring has proven to be interesting, with three significant weather events in the past month — a snowstorm between May 5 and May 7 that at least slowed some of the snowmelt, tornadoes over the past weekend and wild temperature swings during mid-April.

Last Chance, Washington County. A single spark from a blown-out tire started a fire that consumed much of the town. https://t.co/TkUJu6NJja

Keota, Weld County, one of BYC's favorite places. A town that refuses to fade away. https://t.co/nyI7wTHaxQ
