Video released by police shows the moment a recreational boat crashed into the back of a ferry in Clearwater, Florida, killing one person and injuring 10 others. The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. Sunday as a 40-foot commercial ferry returned from Clearwater Beach, authorities said. It was carrying 45 passengers and crew.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago's official Christmas tree will be cut down Friday in Logan Square on Friday. This year's tree is a 53-foot Colorado blue spruce donated by the Holden-Shaddick family. The owners say the tree was planted almost 50 years ago by the home's previous owner, Jim Mulligan. Mulligan worked for the city and is being honored with a street sign. "I think its cool because that's going to be my tree that was in my backyard," a Holden-Shaddick family member said.
