    SULLIVAN — A Sullivan County jury on Wednesday convicted the first defendant in the killing of Lowell Badger, an 85-year-old retired farmer found shot to death in his Sullivan County home in December 2012. William Ray Grimes, 39, of Merom, was convicted on all counts: murder, burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.     TERRE HAUTE — The 19-year-old man who pleaded guilty to murder in the fatal shooting of a Terre Haute teenage girl in July 2021 was sentenced Thursday morning to 45 years in prison. Montez Ellington Jr. had accepted that sentence as part of a plea agreement struck in late March.
