TURNER — A Minot man has been indicted on 14 charges, including aggravated assault and driving while intoxicated, in connection with a January crash that injured a Monmouth police lieutenant and three others. Sean McNeil, 41, was indicted by an Androscoggin County grand jury last week on multiple counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and driving to endanger, as well as aggravated criminal driving while intoxicated and criminal speed.

LEWISTON — Once again, Mr. Drew and His Animals, Too is looking for a new home. Drew Desjardins, owner of the business, announced on Monday that he has been told that he needs to leave his spacious spot at the Lewiston Mall by the end of July. The exotic animal rescue and public exhibit has only been at the Lewiston Mall since 2023 after he was forced out a location at the Pepperell Mill.

LEWISTON — Police in the Twin Cities no longer want to hear from members of the public on Facebook. Police in both Lewiston and Auburn have shut down commenting for all future posts they make on the social media platform. In Lewiston, police made the announcement on Thursday after they were ordered by the deputy city administrator to shut down commenting for all future posts. By law, they are not allowed to remove comments from previous posts.

Massachusetts man charged with drug trafficking, gun crimes

AUBURN — A Massachusetts man was arrested Tuesday night after police stopped a ride-share car and found him inside with a loaded handgun, cocaine, fentanyl and other items related to drug trafficking, investigators said Wednesday. Jaysin Pedro Selter-Luna, 20, of Dorchester, was arrested on a slew of charges, including two counts of aggravated drug trafficking, two counts of drug possession and carrying a concealed weapon while under the age of 21.
