(KT) – A former member of Hell’s Angels, whose life made a drastic turnaround after he accepted a relationship with Jesus, rode five hours each way from west Kentucky on Saturday to present a donation to the Solid Rock Children’s Ranch. BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (KT) – The Baptist Campus Ministry at Western Kentucky University was awarded with the Best of the Hill recognition by the College Heights Herald, the campus newspaper. It was selected for the award from more than 200 non-Greek student organizations and was the second time being recognized, said Regional Campus Minister Tommy Johnson who said it was “pretty cool” and that they were “encouraged by it.”The students in the BCM are engaged and involved in campus life, Johnson said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) — Pat Brownfield’s heart for children knows no bounds. An educator of 32 years, the past nearly 30 years have been dedicated to putting together Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes. Not only are children from Kentucky and across the globe receiving a gift, but they also receive the life-changing gospel in that little package. OCC estimates that the gospel has been shared with more than 60,000 children because of the boxes.

Pat Brownfield does not talk like someone with days to live. She speaks of her life with no regrets, of her love for helping others and understands death is not the end for her but more of a beginning. This Christian woman has a legacy of her own but, more importantly, she has a Savior whose love covered the world. “It is very well with my soul,” she told me Thursday on her eighth day in palliative care after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
