A man was shot dead overnight Friday in Durham, police said. FILE IMAGE Police are investigating an overnight shooting in northern Durham that left one man dead and two women injured. Around midnight Thursday, 911 callers reported hearing gun shots fired in the 1600 block of Rowemont Drive, according to ABC11, The News & Observer’s newsgathering partner. Rowemont Drive is in the Braggtown area. Officers found a man and two women shot inside a vehicle.

Durham police are investigating after a man was found dead from a gunshot wound on Erwin Road Monday night. Officers responded just before 10 pm to a gunshot wound call in the 2800 block of Erwin Road and found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. ABC11, The News & Observer's newsgathering partner, said the man was found outside Heavenly Buffaloes, at 2816 Erwin Road, less than a mile from the Duke and VA hospitals.

Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death Wednesday night in East Durham. It happened around 9:30 p.m. on South Benjamine Street, the Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 300 block. The man, whose name has not been released yet, was pronounced dead at the scene. "This is an ongoing investigation and appears to be an isolated incident," the release stated. The homicide comes as shootings are down in Durham this year.

Durham police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot in a car Monday night in southern Durham. Officers were responding to a call around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Courtland Drive and Brighton Road in the Hope Valley neighborhood area when they were notified about the sound of gunshots call in the same area. Responding Emergency Medical Services workers found a man inside a vehicle. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
