He’ll be with the team in St. Louis on Tuesday, per Anne Rogers with MLB.com. The former Florida gator and sixth overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft was promoted to Triple-A Omaha just two weeks ago, turning heads with five home runs in his first week. The move comes hours after Kansas City fell 1-0 to the AL Central-leading Tigers.

As the Kansas City Fire Department continues to mourn the loss of firefighter-paramedic Graham Hoffman, the Royals spent Monday’s batting practice wearing shirts that honor him. The organization also planned a pregame moment of silence before Monday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox.

Six different players contributed to the history-making afternoon at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, led by Maikel Garcia with two. “I’ve never seen nothing like that before,” Garcia said. Leadoff hitter Jonathan India logged his first homer of the season in the fifth. Bobby Witt Jr. hit the go-ahead HR in the seventh, followed immediately by Vinnie Pasquantino’s fifth of the season.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Chiefs head coach Andy Reid doesn’t have a timetable for Rashee Rice’s return, but said Monday the wide receiver is progressing. Reid offered injury updates on both Rice and tight end Jared Wiley on Monday. Both players suffered season-ending knee injuries last season. “They’re doing well,” Reid said. “I can’t tell you when they’ll be back exactly here. Both of them bust their tail. They’re running, which is good. We’ll just see how it goes going forward here.
