    An Olympia driver stuck and injured a Ferndale pedestrian on Interstate 5 in south Lewis County Thursday morning. The collision occurred at 9:20 a.m. at milepost 59, near the Cowlitz River, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo. The driver, a 69-year-old woman, was northbound in a black 2017 Lexis RX when the pedestrian ran into traffic. The driver struck the pedestrian with her car in the left lane.

    Olympia police seized a large amount of narcotics and a gun from a stolen car found in west Olympia Sunday. An officer and their trainee sought out the car after receiving an alert from the city’s Flock Safety camera system, the Olympia Police Department shared in a Thursday Facebook post. The city began using the camera system last year in response to a rise in auto thefts, but it can also be used to solve other crimes.

    Thurston County Superior Court judges and Prosecuting Attorney Jon Tunheim will get a 4% raise to $237,460 starting July 1. The Board of County Commissioners approved the raise for Tunheim last week, keeping him in line with the state-set salary for Superior Court judges. Tunheim heads an office that prosecutes people accused of committing local misdemeanor and felony crimes.

    The Tumwater Police Department is asking the public for help finding a 50-year-old woman who has been missing since the weekend. Rosalind M. Earp left her adult family home Saturday and later “made claims of self-harm,” according to a Tuesday missing person news release. She has reportedly not been answering her phone and police have been unable to locate her. Police describe Earp as 5-foot, 7-inches tall and weighing about 250-300 pounds. She has dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
