MONTPELIER — For the past 11 seasons, Hilltop has had at least a share of the Buckeye Border Conference crown in each of those campaigns. That streak was broken on Friday night. Montpelier’s softball team toppled North Central 22-2 in Friday’s five-inning Buckeye Border Conference game at the Superior Athletic Complex in Montpelier to claim the BBC title outright for the first time in program history with an unblemished 7-0 record in conference play.
