LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Freeze Warning has been issued for central Kentucky, effective from this evening through Wednesday morning, due to an unseasonably cold air mass settling over the region. Temperatures are expected to drop to lows in the lower 30s to upper 20s, with the coldest readings anticipated across southeast Indiana and the Bluegrass area of central Kentucky. This poses a risk to crops, sensitive vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Following an extreme rain event from April 2 to 6, there has been widespread flooding across Kentucky. The heavy rainfall, which occurred over a period of several hours, led to a staggering accumulation of up to 15.46 inches in some areas mostly to our southwest, near Mayfield. The relentless downpours have overwhelmed local drainage systems, causing rivers, streams, and creeks to rapidly swell and spill over their banks.
