MARION, Ind. — Two people are now charged in connection with the disappearance and death of a 3-year-old girl who recently lived in Marion, Indiana. On Tuesday afternoon, Nola Dinkins became the focus of an Amber Alert issued by New Castle County Police in Delaware. Originally, police were told by Nola’s mother, 31-year-old Darrian Randle, that an unknown male armed with a handgun had abducted the 3-year-old.

SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. - Court records reveal an Indianapolis woman was driving nearly 70 mph, and allegedly applying makeup while looking in her vanity mirror, when she collided into the back of a vehicle waiting to turn left. A 6-year-old boy died as a result of the multiple-vehicle crash that followed the initial collision. A blood test also allegedly revealed the at-fault driver had meth in her system.

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man reportedly told police that he and several friends were hanging out at a home on Burbank Road when he set his handgun on a dryer and it “misfired,” shooting a woman in the head and killing her. According to multiple witness accounts, Elliot Hines was repeatedly “playing with” a black Taurus handgun just before the deadly shooting occurred on May 30. Witnesses said Hines even pointed the weapon at several of them, even after they’d asked him to stop.

SEYMOUR, Ind. - An Indiana attorney is accused of not paying any income tax since 2018, either personally or for his businesses. Jason Smith, 45, of Seymour was arrested by Greenwood police officers on Tuesday. He is charged with 11 felonies, including corrupt business influence, tax evasion and theft. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.
