Russia won its seventh straight district title to advance to the Division IV Region 16 semifinals. The Raiders used early runs to set the tone in a 20-1 win against Felicity-Franklin in Miamisburg.

DAYTON, OHIO (WKEF/WRGT) - With the college baseball regular season ending this weekend, both Dayton and Wright State closed the regular season with home wins on Saturday. Intent on stopping a four-game skid, the Flyers were involved in a back-and-forth contest with Rhode Island, but two runs in the 8th inning were enough to secure a 5-3 win over the Rams. David Mendez had two RBI, including a single that brought in the go-ahead run in the 8th, while Keegan Calero scored three runs.

DAYTON, OHIO (WKEF/WRGT) - Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson will host his second celebrity softball game at Day Air Ballpark on June 1, including many of his Bengals teammates. Among the players confirmed to make appearances are Jake Browning, Vonn Bell, Sam Hubbard, and Germaine Pratt. Wilson anticipates that head coach Zac Taylor will also play in this year's game, as he made an appearance last year.

DAYTON, OHIO (WKEF/WRGT) - The Dayton Dragons only scored in two separate innings Thursday, but the 11 runs in those two innings was enough to record the 11-10 win over the Great Lakes Loons. The visitors opened the scoring with three runs in the opening frame, including a solo home run. However, Dayton responded with three home runs in the second, a solo shot from Jay Allen II putting the hosts in the lead.

DAYTON, OHIO (WKEF/WRGT) - Fairmont High School alumna Maddy Westbeld has made a significant impact with Notre Dame women's basketball. In the 2023-24 season alone, she was named to the All-ACC regular season Second Team, the All-Tournament Team, and helped lead the Irish to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. This summer, Westbeld will host a one-day clinic for Miami Valley basketball players at Trent Arena.
