When it comes to living in Maine, there are few things that one must accept. Loads of traffic on Route 1 between May and September, super-cold weather for six months out of every year, an insanely long line at Red's Eats and, of course, encountering wildlife. While Maine is an absolutely massive state by land size, we really don't have that many people here compared to states of similar size. However, what we do have, is piles of animals.

I've talked about this before, but here's a little reminder just so you all remember just how unequivocally cool I am. When I was a kid and the movie Twister came out, I was obsessed with weather. So obsessed in fact, that I (for a long time) wanted to become a meteorologist and track weather patterns. My parents got me one of those flip-up style notebooks to carry around on my bicycle so I could 'take notes' about my weather observations in the neighborhood.
