    Montclair’s Clary Anderson Arena will have new management next season following the Township Council’s approval Tuesday of a new operator to run ice rink. The council awarded a one-year contract to Sports Facilities Management LLC. Under the agreement, the town will pay the firm $12,000 per month to operate the arena plus a performance bonus with the proceeds from the rink going into a municipal utility, Township Manager Stephen Marks said.

    Montclair has renewed its enforcement of the rule requiring maintenance of sidewalks, raising concerns among some property owners who must foot the bills. Arielle Eckstut, a resident of Park Street, told the town council last week that many of her neighbors have received notices from the township that they must fix their sidewalks or face fines. She asked the council to rethink an ordinance, approved earlier this year, which allows the town to enforce its sidewalk law.
