MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — After sitting in an empty amusement park for 20 years, a historic building is getting a new home. On Friday, people gathered outside Mechanicsburg to watch the Williams Grove Carousel House be moved from its original location. The ride used to be a staple of the old Williams Grove Amusement Park. “It’s a happy feeling in the heart," said Wilmer Price. "I just can't explain it." Wilmer Price said he used to operate the carousel after he graduated from high school in 1961.

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Berks County lawmaker is looking to introduce legislation that would ban single-use plastic bags in Pennsylvania. If passed, Pennsylvanian retailers would be forbidden from giving out plastic bags at check-out and would be asked to give out paper bags for a fee. “It’s not so much to be an inconvenience to us, it’s to reduce waste," said State Senator Judy Schwank (D-Berks). Schwank said her office put out a co-sponsor memo earlier this week.

This marks the first time the Blue Angels will be performing in Harrisburg since 1987.
