The 2026 Palisade offers two new powertrain options. Gas-only models will use a 287-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 260 pounds-feet of torque, down a bit from the previous 3.8-liter V-6’s 291 hp and 262 pounds-feet. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission; front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available. Hyundai estimates that the new powertrain should retain the current Palisade’s 5,000-pound towing capacity.

Tesla estimates the new model’s range at 350 miles (or 362 with the available soft tonneau cover in place, smoothing the truck’s polygonal aerodynamic profile), 25 miles more than the AWD Cybertruck and 49 more than the Cyberbeast. Tesla also claims the rear-driver will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds versus 4.1 for the AWD truck and 2.6 for the Cyberbeast.
