Venice (Fla.) four-star 2026 EDGE Asharri Charles had an idea he liked Miami heading into this weekend’s Hurricanes official visit. And his time on campus sealed the deal. He has now announced his commitment, a huge pickup as UM’s landed the nation’s No. 184 overall prospect and No. 23 EDGE in the cycle. He chose Miami over Florida, FSU and Missouri. Louisville and Kentucky were others that had pushed hard in recent weeks. “It’s just a great environment to be around,” he said of UM.

When Miami Hurricanes fans hear about NIL or the House settlement, they most likely think about its impact on the football team. Tampa Bay Tech OL Canon Pickett – whose father Booker Sr. is a former Hurricane and whose older brother Booker Jr. is a current Cane – is on board in this 2026 recruiting class. The 3-star interior offensive line standout back on September 7. And Wagner certainly didn’t back off that prediction after Pickett told him following the visit last weekend that “I’m definitely excited about Miami. It can be one of the best options.
