The city of Altoona is nearing completion of their new container park, aiming for an opening sometime mid-July. The project that has been on and off in Altoona since receiving a $1.38 million Neighborhood Investment Fund Grant in spring 2022; however, the new park, named The Yard, seems to be nearing completion. EAU CLAIRE — Chippewa Valley Technical College program instructor Shawn Crevitson said the donation of a drone to their drone training certificate program will allow students to learn about modern equipment they may encounter in the field. The donation comes from Maverick Drone Systems, based out of the Twin Cities, and includes a DJI T30 drone.
