Police say the crash happened around 2:23 p.m.Investigators say 79-year-old Clyde Samuelson Jr. of Columbia was traveling east in his pickup truck when he left the road and went into a ditch. Samuelson was the only one in the vehicle. First responders tried to save his life, but Samuelson died at the scene.

Police say 18-year-old Linda Maxwell was last seen in the Calais area on August 23, 1984 after spending the evening with her friends. Maine State Police says it has arrested a man suspected of killing a teenage girl more than 40 years ago. (WGME)Two days later, her body was found on the shore of the St. Croix River in Robbinston.

Police say a 15-year-old girl was walking home on Warwick Street around 12:30 p.m. when a man stopped his car and lunged at her. She was able to run away and get home safely. The man is described as white, balding, in his 60s or 70s and driving a gold 2009-2010 Toyota Corolla.
