    December 11, 2024 Kenli Mays, a senior fashion studies major, said she felt like she needed to switch her degree plan last semester because she could not afford the rising cost of Columbia’s tuition and fees. She said that the increases—15% in three years— put significant pressure on her financial situation and educational aspirations. “It has made it a little difficult and it does kind of restrain some students from really trying to reach that goal, curriculum-wise,” Mays said.

    December 8, 2024 On Friday night, the Renegades En Pointe Ballet Club filled the Hive with magic to set the scene for their showcase to end the fall semester with vines of leaves wrapped around the stage and pastel flowers sprinkled around the room creating their own mystical garden. Family and friends came to support the club and members in their only event this semester, as many of the club members are new to ballet.
