0 If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent the last few weeks obsessing over the new Netflix adaptation of David Nicholls’ bestselling novel, One Day. The 14-episode TV series, first adapted into a 2011 film with Anne Hathaway, now stars Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod as the story’s protagonists, Dexter and Emma. The pair meet on the night of their graduation celebrations at the University of Edinburgh and continue to weave in and out of each other’s lives over a period of twenty years.

0 It has been a couple of weeks since the world heard Taylor Swifts 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, for the very first time and it is not one to forget. 0 Earliest this month, I attended a Brighton show for the tour of Declan McKenna’s third album What Happened to the Beach?, supported by rock band Wunderhorse and the budding five-piece group Soft Launch. Their debut single, “Cartwheels” was released on 2nd April.

0 Anatomy of a Fall is perhaps at first not the most obviously appealing film, the run time is long (two and a half hours), and the dialogue is constantly changing between English and French – which can be tricky to follow if you’re not a fast reader. That being said, after the first half an hour I found myself deeply invested in the lives of the characters.

0 In late February, Netflix released their live-action adaptation of the dearly beloved kids’ cartoon, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show has gained mixed reviews, from fans of the original, to first-time consumers. The 8-episode series had been in production for 6 long years, following the failure of the 2010 film adaptation. The story surrounds a fantasy world, in which nations are split via the elements of fire, water, air and earth.
