    NEOSHO, Mo. — It was a time to share on the square in Neosho on Saturday. Eastside Social closed for the day to host the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks’ second annual fashion show benefit. Organizers sold just over 100 tickets to the event, where breast cancer survivors modeled fashion inspired by Emily in Paris. In addition to the runway, attendees raised money with a pass the purse auction. Outreach director Regina Hammons is hopeful the event will surpass the $15,000 raised last year.

Customers can once again drop off their utility payments outside the Newman Building downtown. The city is thanking everyone for their patience while the box was out for repairs.     JOPLIN, Mo. — Another year brought a special visitor today to the NICU at Freeman Health System: Santa. Spencer Ellis, a member of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas, stopped by the facility to take pictures with the babies and create happy memories for families going through a difficult time. This tradition is close to “Santa Spence’s” heart, as both of his daughters are NICU nurses.

    PITTSBURG, Kan. — Kansas leaders finish out six months of leadership training in Pittsburg today. The Leadership Crawford County Class of 2024 was nominated back in May. From June to November, they’ve spent one day a month getting a behind-the-scenes look at the opportunities and challenges of working in Crawford County, all while developing leadership skills they can use to take an active role in improving the community for everyone.
