Gull saved from Paisley bin seen on Moroccan beachMegan BonarRolf HortA seagull rescued from a bin in Paisley has completed his very own Gulliver's Travels after being spotted almost 1,800 miles away on a beach in Morocco. The Lesser Black-Backed Gull, named Gulliver, was rescued by the Scottish SPCA after being trapped in a bin on a residential street. He was taken to the wildlife charities rescue centre in Alloa where he was nursed back to health.

BBC Radio Scotland presenter Janice Forsyth has stepped down after being diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. The broadcaster has worked for the BBC for more than 30 years, presenting shows on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Four and BBC Radio Three. She also co-founded a podcast production company five years ago, a role she will continue. Ms Forsyth, 65, said the diagnosis came as a "huge blow" but also provided her with some relief.

The body of a second woman has been found near where two missing sisters were last seen in Aberdeen. Henrietta and Eliza Huszti - both 32 and from a set of triplets - were last seen near the River Dee on 7 January. Officers found the second body in an area of the river near to the Victoria Bridge at about 21:05 on Friday. The first body had been found near Queen Elizabeth Bridge at about 07:55. Police Scotland said the Huszti family had been informed.
