    Children playing in the parkland at Easter at Gibside, Tyne & Wear (Image: National Trust) A new interactive trail is opening at a National Trust site this summer. The Very Hungry Caterpillar trail will be at Hinton Ampner, near Alresford, from July 19 to September 7. The trail is recommended for children aged three to six, and it is based on the popular children's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.

    14 1/1 From sheep to brilliant bluebells, photographers in Andover were out and about to capture the best of spring in April. Every month, members of the Andover Advertiser Camera Club are asked to submit photographs for a theme. In April it was 'Spring Life'. The photographers got out and about, capturing animals and flowers in the season they flourish the best.

    The emergency services on the A33 on Thursday (Image: Newsquest) A motorbike rider has suffered minor injuries after another crash at a junction that is often branded 'dangerous'  Just after 9am on Thursday, May 1, Hampshire Police received reports that a car and a motorbike had crashed on the A33, at its junction with the B3047. Emergency services closed the road, forcing traffic heading towards Winchester along the B3047.

    2 1/1 TWO huge vans have cleared out a popular cafe after it suddenly closed. Basil Leaf Deli, on St George's Street, shockingly closed after its landlord, Qvest A8 Limited, issued a 'notice of forfeiture' and took it back under its control. The notice of forfeiture was issued on Wednesday, April 16, only four days after the cafe canvassed for bands to play the venue on Saturday, April 12.
