LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Cooper Hospital held its annual “Teddy Bears to the Rescue” event, where teddy bears become the patients and kindergarten students work with medical staff to diagnose and treat them. “This helps to increase their familiarity to get comfortable with who they might be seeing in the event they ever have to come back. We help to ease their anxiety around coming to the hospital,” Max Kursh with Cooper Hospital explained.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – 33-year-old Morgan Hentemann, a mother of five from St. Johns, shows what it means to never give up – no matter the odds. “We stepped into a territory where, just her being able to be here right now, today, is honestly a miracle based on where her injury was and how severe it was,” Stephen Hentemann, Morgan’s husband, said. “She had complete paralysis. I mean, just to be able to get her smile back, to walk, that honestly is a miracle in its own right.
