LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — May marks National Stroke Awareness Month — a time to learn and talk about what a stroke is, its symptoms, prevention, and treatment — and a young family in St. Johns now knows this all too well. At just 33 years old, Morgan Hentemann suffered multiple strokes, cardiac arrest, and an anoxic brain injury, which occurs when the brain is deprived of oxygen, leading to tissue damage. Morgan’s husband, Stephen, says it all started with a headache.
