Two people were injured after a crash on Interstate 10 last week. Around 7:50 a.m. April 16, a Ford F-250 was headed west on Interstate 10 near Major Drive but stopped because a work crew was picking up a log in the road. The driver of a tractor-trailer failed to control his speed and rear-ended the Ford, according to Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Sgt. Shana Clark.

A Vidor trailer fire on Friday killed a man and injured a firefighter. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is believed to have been accidental, Orange County Emergency Service District 1 Chief Robert Smith said. Article continues below this adThe fire was reported around 11:15 p.m. in the 6000 block of Pipeline Road. Two people got out of the fire, but one man was trapped inside. He died after firefighters pulled him out of the fire and performed CPR, according to Smith.

A Florida woman has been arrested after she was found with over 500 kg of cocaine. The 43-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, over 400 g and is being held at the Jefferson County jail on a $750,000 bond.
