Texas A&M earned the No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA softball tournament. The Aggies, who were declared co-champs of the SEC tournament when weather canceled the final against Oklahoma, were one of seven SEC teams to receive a top-eight seed and the right to host a super regional, if they advance. Texas A&M (45-9) will open in College Station against Saint Francis at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Marist and Liberty are the other two teams in that regional.

The UT Tyler Patriots have received a bid to the NCAA Division II National Baseball Tournament, the NCAA announced on Sunday night from Indianapolis. The Patriots are the No. 2 seed in the South Central Regional II and will host No. 3 seed Colorado Mesa and No. 6 MSU Denver at Irwin Field. The games begin on Thursday and continue through Saturday. This marks the first time in program history that the Patriots will host a regional as a member of NCAA Division II.
