Two people were injured after a crash on Interstate 10 last week. Around 7:50 a.m. April 16, a Ford F-250 was headed west on Interstate 10 near Major Drive but stopped because a work crew was picking up a log in the road. The driver of a tractor-trailer failed to control his speed and rear-ended the Ford, according to Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Sgt. Shana Clark.

A Vidor trailer fire on Friday killed a man and injured a firefighter. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is believed to have been accidental, Orange County Emergency Service District 1 Chief Robert Smith said. He died after firefighters pulled him out of the fire and performed CPR, according to Smith.
