Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was referred to by LendingTree, a business platform that offers consumers loan information and financial resources. The data used was from 2018 to 2022. In that time, Colorado had about 19 reckless driving deaths per billion miles traveled.

Supporters say the bill would protect children from being misgendered by their parents and at school.
