APPLETON (WLUK) -- The next major I-41 interchange is scheduled to close Monday in the Fox Valley. Ballard Road will close over I-41, along with the southbound off-ramp. Work will include reconstructing the Ballard Road interchange as a diverging diamond interchange (DDI) to accommodate higher traffic volumes, increase safety and include additional bike and pedestrian accommodations. In addition, improvements will be made to the Ballard Road Park and Ride.

GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to close the northbound Interstate 41 on-ramp from WIS 15/County OO/Northland Avenue on Wednesday, April 16. The closure begins in the evening. Work will include reconstructing the WIS 15 interchange as a diverging diamond interchange (DDI) to accommodate higher traffic volumes and increase safety. Additional bike and pedestrian accommodations, as well as crash investigation sites, will also be constructed.
