SAUGATUCK, Mich. — On Thursday afternoon, Angela Carrion picked up the phone and made over a dozen phone calls to customers with reservations at Bowdie's Chophouse in Saugatuck. It's her least favorite part of the job. "You never want to be the bearer of bad news, we bring steaks, people like us, we don't like doing this," said Carrion. "People count on us being open all the time, kind of like the post office.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two international students at Grand Valley State University have had their "student status" revoked by the federal government. "This is a mass revocation of student visas that isn't targeted at any particular country of origin, that isn't targeted at student protestors perse," said Ramis Wadood, an attorney with the ACLU of Michigan. Wadood hasn't found a common denominator between any of the college students who have had their student visas revoked.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — There's something special about Lucy Roo. The staff at The Noah Project in Muskegon see it, and so do those visiting. "She's very sweet, and she's very passionate with people," said Director Mashele Arndt. The shelter specializes in caring for dogs, like Lucy Roo, who need a little extra attention. Lucy Roo was born without front legs, but Arndt said it hasn't stopped her spunk. "She doesn't let not having front legs affect her life," said Arndt.

CALEDONIA, Mich. — Taking a drive around Caledonia on Monday, Sharon and Bob Weaver surveyed some of the damage from Sunday night's storms. One of their neighbors had his barn roof torn off, and a grain bin tossed to the other side of 84th St. The damage that really hurt for them, however, was the old farm Sharon grew up on near 92nd St. and Hanna Lake Ave. "Oh i know, this is unbelievable actually to see it," she said driving by the farm Monday afternoon. Sharon Weaver is my grandmother.
