The Louisiana State Police have arrested a Beaumont man who was involved in a train accident on June 22nd. David Wayne Richard, 35, of Beaumont, was allegedly driving while under the influence with his wife, Susan Garcia, in Dequincy after midnight on June 22nd. Richard was traveling with his wife and attempted to cross a train track in DeQuincy near the local hospital, when his vehicle was struck by an oncoming train.

A man from Shreveport made a big catch on Toledo Bend Lake. Justine Caudle of Shreveport, LA caught a 10.60 Bass on June 21, 2025 and weighted in at Buckeye Landing on Toledo Bend Lake. He will receive a fiberglass replica from the Toledo Bend Lake Association for allowing us to weigh, measure, tag and return this fish to the Lake alive. This is Lunker #4 for the 2025-2026 year. The Lunker program is designed to reward anglers and to incentivize the return of trophy fish into Toledo Bend Lake.
