A trio of Nebraska reserves entered the baseball transfer portal as it opened to start the week. A trio of Nebraska reserve baseball players entered the transfer portal early this week as the portal opened for all player on June 2. Pitcher J'Shawn Unger entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Unger appeared in one game during his freshman season for the Huskers, taking the loss in Nebraska's loss to Omaha on April 2.

Another strong start by sophomore Ty Horn and a pair of RBI from Hogan Helligso and Cayden Brumbaugh kept Nebraska alive in the Chapel Hill regional with a 4-1 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. Horn allowed one run and just five hits over 7.1 innings of work against the Crusaders, striking out six and walking one across 109 pitches.
