The Mercury shopping centre launched its Giving Tree initiative last week, in partnership with Havering Women’s Aid and The Romford Recorder.

7 1/1 Thousands turned out to see Brentwood's Christmas lights turned on at the end of a day of activities. The town's High Street hosted the event on Saturday, November 23. Lighting Up Brentwood was organised by business group Brentwood Connected in partnership with Brentwood Council. The town’s new Christmas lights were switched on by the Mayor of Brentwood and special guests.

Yes no problem!!But for many grounds, match days are the only time you can spend a large chunk of your day at the stadium. The magnificent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is different. We were going on a Friday to this modern icon of sporting arenas, which has been Spurs’ home since 2019.

An inquest has concluded into Chloe Every's death (Image: Chloe Every's family/PA) A coroner has ruled that “gross failure” in the hospital care of a disabled woman from Dagenham “possibly contributed to her death”. Chloe Every had learning difficulties and a muscle-wasting condition and was admitted to Queen’s Hospital in Romford in April 2019 where a scan revealed possible signs of bowel cancer.
